In 1998 in Brisbane (Queensland, Australia), a self-published (via photocopiers at Annerley, West End and the University of Queensland) comic book appeared at a few retail outlets in the city area.
It was CRIMSON (later renamed CRIMSON: RIOT GOTH to distinguish it from the popular American vampire comic that came out a month later). It was also written, drawn, compiled and distributed by one individual - Dakanavar. For later issues his friend Ravage designed and helped design a cover or two. There were 7 issues produced over a two year period, ending just prior to the Millenium.
This was something new for the Goth community in Brisbane. It had had it's share of bands and zines, and even the occasional 3-panel comic strip in locally produced newsletters (invariably poor mimics of titles like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac), but an entire - and mostly sequentially narrative - comic series was something of an anomally.
And they were fairly popular too (and not just owing to the variety of cameos it had by local Goths in its pages). For example, copies made their way up the north coast to a readership that was definately not the intended demographic, and were considered in good favour by said demographic.
So here, presented (not always with quality, regrettably, in large part due to no access to the original artwork - it has since been misplaced) for the first time since their limited release, are the entire series of CRIMSON: RIOT GOTH comix.

She is in Crimson by the way... issue 5, page 11. It'll be a while before that is loaded tho'. Keep an eye open for it.
